Talk about elusive and sought after! Extremely rare and with a lead time reportedly of 18 months, it is a huge pleasure to be able to offer for sale this outstanding Suhr Carve Top Standard Knopfler Spec (bought new only in February of 2023).
This model is scarce as hen's teeth and is perpetually out of stock, do not miss out on this legendary Suhr!
The guitar was sourced from a very careful collector well known to us at Smokestack Guitars. It has had limited use over the short period of time that it has been owned and it is in stunning condition.
The highly expressive quilted maple top on this particular guitar is absolutely sensational. Finished in a sleek Trans Caramel it's the perfect balance of smooth and striking, much like Mark's playing!
This example has a beautiful satin finish Genuine Mahogany neck. Combine this with the supremely comfortable Even-C neck profile and superb Suhr fretwork and you get one really fast playing instrument!
The Indian Rosewood fretboard features a 10-14" radius, an Ivoroid binding and is adorned with exceptionally vibrant Abalone face dots. A special mention is deserved for the Abalone used on the Suhr headstock inlay which is utterly mind-blowing!
Loaded with two EMG SA single coils and an EMG 85 humbucker in the bridge, this versatile pickup selection is very dynamic and delivers outstanding clarity. It is further augmented with an EMG SPC Presence Control or "Fat Control" - perfect to boost the midrange of the single-coils or go full-throttle on the 85 humbucker!
As you'd expect this guitar is just dripping in tone and has heaps of sustain, Suhr's magic is in full effect here! The guitar weighs in at 3.74kg (8.25lbs).
This guitar has been very carefully looked after and is in mint condition - there are no chips, dings or scratches anywhere. It isn't brand new so there are some very light signs of use, there is some light playwear on the frets and some minor patina on the neckplate.
All case candy is present including the fretboard protector, tags, truss rod wrench, allen keys, Suhr Spec Sheet etc. The original G&G hardshell case is in excellent condition showing only minor signs of patina.

We can't deliver to P.O. Boxes. In the unlikely event that there is damage to the item you must notify us immediately on the day that you receive it.
Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
